Basic rules and approaches

Basic rules and approaches to time management. Perception of time is a subjective fact associated with several factors: environment, character, experience. Do we know how we spend time during the day? Have you ever paid attention to the time we spend during the day? Those who go to the gym or go in for sports know that in order to increase productivity, you first need to measure where we are in order to be able to plan an improvement strategy.

If we want to save, we must first take into account how much we spent for a certain period of time (day, week or month). Are you used to putting off activities that you don’t like or that are especially tiring? Do you know your limits? What have you really done to date to overcome them? Do you tend to avoid situations that make them appear or run into them defiantly? How do I use my brain as a warehouse or as a generator of ideas?

Get into the habit of writing to free your mind! Some people think that planning can “smear” their spontaneity and can become another source of stress, another limitation of spontaneity. This is true? Absolutely not. It is very important to think before you act, if you do not want the day to go by accident. Time spent on planning is a well-invested time that will affect the effectiveness of actions. Planning should not be a further obligation, but a resource that should be subjective in accordance with the characteristics of each of them. This is not the way we should move, but a strategy that simplifies our lives, which gives us direction during the day, allows us to set goals and satisfy us for their achievement.

Is efficiency and effectiveness the same thing? Absolutely not. Effective is one who knows how to do well and quickly. Effective is the one who does the right thing and knows how to optimize energy and resources to achieve a result using strictly necessary resources and in the shortest possible time. In other words, an effective person does not necessarily decide actions, but since he takes them during the day, he solves them and solves them with expertise, effective instead has a proactive attitude, he does not wait for things to appear, but he decides what he wants to do and does it efficiently.

Professional activity: time frame as a resource in life.

We all always complain about the lack of time to always have too little time compared to the number of cases. On closer inspection, it is fortunate that time is limited because it makes us be more efficient.

The limits, in fact, are our best friends, those who show us the path to improvement, which allows us to set specific goals that we will feel satisfied and ready for new challenges. Try to think about what happens if there are no time limits: everything would lose value, we would crash, and we would no longer have the motivation to act, we would continue to put off, we would become dispersible to the levels of the stratosphere.

The goal, in fact, what is it? The desire to which we set the implementation date, the deadline. Actually the limit. On New Year’s Eve, everyone will happen to start with good intentions, making a list of what needs to be done in the future: this year I will stop smoking, I will spend more time, I will go and take my children to school, I will sign up for the gym, I will eat better. There are so many good intentions.

Goals? I do not think so! Without an expiration date (for example, yogurt) this may not be the goal, but it will remain a vague desire, one of many that will go to the category of desired, dreams and hopes.

Manage time in professional activities. Let’s start with a metaphor: if they entrusted you with the management of a large warehouse full of metal shelves and asked you to optimize the space, what would you do? Probably the first thing you could do would be to tour the warehouse, get to know it, understand how big it is, and the type of goods you need to live in.

After you have created a mental map of the warehouse (shape, square meters, height), I imagine that the second action will be to consider the type of goods that you need to arrange if it is made from boxes, if it has the right or wrong shape, the total quantity goods. goods, weight, fragility, to decide what happens and what is higher. Then, as a third lesson, you are likely to check for tools or equipment to lift goods, forklifts, trolleys, and people who can help you.
